Good Morning People
Looks like we have overcast here in Sioux Lookout. We got up early this morning, having Tim's coffee and tastes pretty good. I had trouble eating the last few days cause of the tooth that was pulled but it's not hurting anymore. I told the Dentist to just pull it out when he said that he's try to safe it, I didn't want to be sick when I'm in and at my trap-line in three weeks. Man how time flys, I may charter out of Windigo Lake this time around. The cost to use Wasaya is too high these days. I thought when they (Wasaya Air) got started was to provide the natives with low cost airfares, I must have miss heard that one! But I guess they have to come up with the monies for their big bosses to throw in those slot machines at the casinos........that' s my thought for this day!
Have a goo day!

I guess I should update here. I am at work but nobody has called yet, a good sign to the start of the week, everyone keeping safe.
Now its almost September and my hunting trip is only three weeks away now, I cant wait, its going to be great to get out there again and see our trap-line again. I hope to see a lot of geese this year.
Last year when my bro and I got to the trap-line, we just focused on trying to bag a moose, on the first couple of nights there I noticed that there were a lot of geese and they seem to be everywhere we went. But I never took a shot at them because my little big bro said not to shot them because the sound of shots fired would scare the moose away. So, each time I saw a flock go by above me while waiting on the moose by the river on cool evenings Id just point at them but wont shoot. Then early one morning I noticed him getting up early and I thought that he was going out for a dump, later I heard gunshots I got up in a hurry and looked to see if he was shooting at a moose. After awhile, he came back holding two geese, I looked at him and said, Didnt I hear that we are not to shoot at the geese till we bagged a moose? He replied, Well I was getting hungry!
Well anyhow, I am really looking forward to our visit again to the
Driving along some bush roads here around Sioux one weekend, had tunes blasting from my Sat. Radio and was just tipping my fingers on the steering wheel, I saw an MNR officer walking along the road. He lifted his arm to wave I waved back and kept on driving, further down the road I can came upon an MNR vehicle .I stopped for awhile and thought to myself, now was he waving at me to stop??....youd think that Id go back and get him??
Well gttg now and you all have a great day!

Here is a picture of my Son Darrell many moons ago and my Grandson Gavin.
